Jim Symington joins the Comets again this year as the runningback coach. Symington played for San Diego State University where he earned his B.A. and M.A. he then went on to coach for Granite Hills High school for 17 years the last 6 as head coach, he then coached at Grossmont College for 17 years before first came to palomar in 1991 and was assistant coach for two Palomar national championships, he then move to Coach for the Japan Industrial Football Leage and returned to the Comets for the 1998 season, Symington now lives in El Cajon with his wife Nicki.
